Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Campaign Finance Compliance Consultant to join our dynamic team. Your expertise will support the integrity of political campaigns by implementing robust compliance procedures, conducting thorough audits, and providing strategic guidance on financial reporting. Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive compliance programs aligned with campaign finance laws and regulations.
• Conduct internal audits to verify accuracy of financial disclosures, contribution limits, and reporting requirements.
• Review campaign financial transactions for adherence to legal standards such as the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA), State Election Laws, and other relevant statutes.
• Analyze financial data using industry-standard software to detect irregularities or potential violations related to fraud prevention, AML (Anti-Money Laundering), or securities law breaches.
• Collaborate with legal teams to interpret complex regulations including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), TILA (Truth in Lending Act), OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control), and BSA (Bank Secrecy Act).
• Prepare detailed reports for regulatory agencies, ensuring timely submission of required disclosures and filings.
• Provide training sessions for campaign staff on compliance procedures, industry best practices, and updates in legislation affecting campaign finance activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in financial compliance within political campaigns, public accounting, or financial institutions.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state campaign finance laws, securities law, AML procedures, and banking regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC sanctions.
• Familiarity with industry-standard financial software and tools used for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Solid understanding of internal controls frameworks like COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations) for effective compliance management.
• Experience conducting internal audits or investigations related to fraud detection, banking risk management, or regulatory reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail in reviewing complex financial data against regulatory standards.
• Ability to interpret technical accounting principles such as GAAP and GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards).
• Strong communication skills to effectively train teams and prepare comprehensive reports for regulatory bodies.
