Comptroller or Financial Analyst

Duties

• Oversee and manage the organization’s general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy in account reconciliation, debits & credits, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Prepare and review financial reports, including statements of financial position, income statements, and cash flow reports, adhering to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Conduct thorough account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations to verify data integrity across all financial systems.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Lead regulatory reporting efforts in compliance with government regulations and nonprofit standards; support external audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Implement and monitor internal controls related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and technical accounting procedures.
• Support budgeting activities, forecasting, and financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
• Facilitate cash management activities including cash flow forecasting and bank account reconciliations.
