The Current Project Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller/CFO to join our team. The candidate will support our municipal and non-profit clients with strategic initiatives and technical accounting implementation. They will be supporting with audit readiness, timely/accurate closing of the books, and team training.

The candidate will be an impressive communicator, self-accountable, highly effective, able to shape a robust and efficient finance team, streamline financial processes, and help drive strategic decisions across the organization. The Controller will ensure compliance with financial processes, report on P&L, Cash Flow, and other key financial metrics, and manage risks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data shared across departments.

This position is contract basis, results oriented, and hands on. Hour load will flex to match the project demands. Project duration will flex as need.

• Lead Financial Operations: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial statements and processes. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to meet business objectives.
• Manage AR and AP Processes: Maintain accurate and efficient handling of all AR and AP functions, and ensure accuracy in financial transactions, compliance, and reporting.
• Shape and Develop Finance Teams: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team, focused on driving efficiency, improving processes, and achieving operational excellence. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous development within the finance function.
