Controller

Annin Flagmakers, an industry leader in the manufacture and distribution of U.S., state, and custom flags for more than 175 years, is seeking an experienced Controller to join its finance leadership team. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Controller will oversee the Company's accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, internal controls, and financial operations across multiple manufacturing locations.

The Controller serves as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, providing financial insight and operational guidance to support profitability, efficiency, and long-term growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Leadership

• Partner with executive leadership to develop financial strategies, budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations that improve profitability, cash flow, productivity, and operational performance.
• Support capital investment decisions, cost optimization initiatives, and long-range financial planning.

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Direct all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury, fixed assets, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while ensuring timely, accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and other financial partners.

Manufacturing Finance & Compliance

• Lead inventory and cost accounting, including valuation, reconciliations, variance analysis, and physical inventory controls.
• Partner with plant leadership to strengthen financial discipline, improve operational reporting, and support multi-site manufacturing performance.
• Maintain effective internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate audits, and drive continuous process improvement.
