The Director for Business & Finance for the School of Medicine (SOM) leads and coordinates the All Funds business and financial reporting for the SOM and key components of Woodruff Health Science Center, ensuring compliance with university and external regulations. This role includes managing fund accounting, preparing financial statements, and collaborating with academic and administrative departments to support budgeting, projections/forecasts, and fiscal planning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:* Drives financial results through collaborating and leading the departments through accurate standardized reporting to meet strategic goals. * Coordinates with the controller's team to ensure the integrity of financial data and reporting processes, and provides leadership in implementing best practices for financial management. * Provides recommendations for strategy, vision, and direction by continuously analyzing existing systems and processes, identifying needs for new systems, and developing proposals for improvements. * Instills a culture of continuous improvement and effectively adapts to dynamic environments by conceptualizing and driving critical initiatives and identifying enhancement opportunities. * Collaborates in major process redesign and innovation projects as a business owner, developing and implementing critical initiatives. * Serves as a key technical resource for the Dean's Office, department chairs, administrators, and the finance group; provides coaching, training, and mentoring; and ensures succession planning. * Creates and reviews financial reporting and dashboards for the School of Medicine and primary departments within the Woodruff Health Science Center...
