MD Energy Advisors (MDEA) is a rapidly growing energy management company that provides Commercial, Utility, and financial solutions for clients across the United States. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and driven Energy Portfolio Manager to expand our Commercial Solutions division.

The Energy Portfolio Manager for Energy Efficiency will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing new business opportunities within the energy sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of energy efficiency, project development and implementation, building performance, and client relationship management.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify, develop, and sell energy efficiency solutions that reduce client energy consumption, operating costs, and carbon emissions.
• Conduct or support client energy assessments to identify opportunities for lighting upgrades, HVAC improvements, building controls, and other energy conservation measures.
• Develop and manage projects involving LED lighting retrofits, smart building technologies, and advanced energy management systems.
• Educate clients on the economic and operational benefits of onsite renewable energy solutions, including solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
• Identify and pursue opportunities for distributed energy resources (DERs), including solar generation, battery storage, microgrids, and resiliency solutions.
• Develop and present financial analyses, ROI models, and business cases for energy efficiency and renewable energy investments.
• Work with utility partners, engineering firms, contractors, and technology providers to design and implement energy-saving projects.
• Identify, evaluate, and secure utility incentives, energy efficiency rebates, tax credits, grants, and other funding opportunities available to clients.
