About the Role

Unlike a traditional onsite Assistant Property Manager position, this role supports a portfolio of multifamily properties across multiple locations. The Assistant Property Manager works closely with Property Managers, maintenance teams, residents, vendors, and ownership groups to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

ResponsibilitiesAdministrative & Financial Support

• Assist with rent collection and delinquency follow-up.
• Prepare and distribute notices as required.
• Process invoices and maintain vendor records.
• Assist with budget tracking and reporting.
• Support property managers with owner reports and operational updates.
• Maintain organized digital and physical property files.
• Cover for Property Managers when needed, either on site or remote.

Resident Relations

• Respond to resident inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests via phone, email, and in person.
• Assist with move-ins, move-outs, lease renewals, and resident communications.
• Coordinate resident notices and community communications.
• Track renter's insurance compliance.
• Support resident retention initiatives and community events.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining positive resident relationships.
