Job Description

The Post Oak Group is seeking an Analyst to support execution across the firm’s lower middle market capital markets and M&A practice. This role is designed for a rigorous, detail-oriented early-career professional eager to build core deal skills through direct involvement in live transactions.

This is a hands-on role with real exposure. The Analyst works directly alongside senior bankers on active mandates, contributing to analysis, materials, and process support from day one, with all securities-related activity conducted in full regulatory compliance and within applicable supervisory frameworks.

Role Overview

As an Analyst, you will provide the analytical and organizational foundation for sell-side M&A, private placements, and capital raises—building models, preparing materials, conducting research, and maintaining the systems that keep each process moving. You will develop rapidly through deal reps, direct senior feedback, and structured progression toward client- and investor-facing responsibility.

The role demands intellectual curiosity, precision, and a strong work ethic, along with a commitment to operating with full regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial analysis, including EBITDA normalization, LTM and PF analysis, financial models, and comparable company and precedent transaction analysis
• Prepare transaction materials, including teasers, confidential information memoranda, investor presentations, and executive summaries, under senior review
• Conduct company, industry, and investor research to support positioning, valuation, and investor universe construction
• Support investor outreach, maintaining the outreach tracker, preparing contact lists, and drafting communications for senior review
