Job Description

The Post Oak Group is seeking a Vice President to manage transaction execution across the firm’s lower middle market capital markets and M&A practice. This role is designed for an experienced banker ready to serve as the day-to-day quarterback on live mandates—running processes, managing clients and investors, and directing junior teams.

This is a client-facing, investor-facing role. The Vice President works directly alongside Directors and Managing Directors in front of institutional investors, family offices, and private capital sources, with substantial responsibility for process management and deal execution from day one.

Role Overview

As a Vice President, you will manage the daily execution of sell-side M&A, private placements, and capital raises—coordinating workstreams, driving investor outreach, overseeing materials production, and serving as a primary point of contact for clients and investors throughout each process. All securities-related activity is conducted in full regulatory compliance and within applicable supervisory frameworks.

The role demands strong project leadership, refined communication skills, and the judgment to keep complex processes on track while maintaining full regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day transaction execution across sell-side M&A, private placements, and capital raises, owning timelines, workstreams, and deliverables
• Serve as a primary client contact, coordinating with founders and management teams on process updates, diligence, and materials
• Lead investor outreach execution, managing the outreach calendar, drafting targeted communications, and maintaining momentum across each investor process
• Present transaction opportunities to qualified and institutional investors, articulating the investment thesis, financial profile, and structure, and fielding investor questions
