Vanderbilt Minerals was recently acquired by Riverspan Partners as a shared service, sister company to High Divide Minerals. Vanderbilt is a leading producer of specialty minerals with processing facilities and mining operations across the United States, organized under multiple operating entities and is now building a world-class finance organization from the ground up.

POSITION FUNCTION

The Director of Finance

will lead the accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit functions for Vanderbilt Minerals. Reporting to the CFO, this individual will establish and enhance financial policies, processes, and reporting systems while partnering with leadership to drive operational performance, profitability, and strategic growth. The role will also play a key part in supporting both organic initiatives and future acquisitions as the business continues to scale.

INTERFACES WITH

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Director of Finance plays a critical role in defining and executing the company’s finance and accounting initiatives. Because of this, this position will have exposure to all the senior leaders across the organization while supporting the CFO with the financial insights that are shared with the Private Equity firm.

CORE COMPETENCIES

1) Accounting & Finance Excellence

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in accounting and financial analysis, ideally working in complex multi-site business environment (CPA is preferred).

2) Financial Leadership Experience

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to implement robust accounting and financial management controls, forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, metrics, & KPIs.
